Amnesty International  An international group that fights for human rights for all.  Established in 1961 and with a presence in more than 80 countries Amnesty is one of the premier voices on human rights and a top watchdog on human rights violations.  To get involved at Rhodes contact Kate Lindeman at lince@rhodes.edu 
Mid-South Peace and Justice Center

The Mid-South Peace and Justice Center is a Memphis based nonprofit that advocates for issues of social justice including a Living Wage, peace in the world, sustainable lifestyles, and other issues.  Volunteering or participating at the center could include working with the Ghandi-King Conference on Peacemaking, volunteering with Food not Bombs, and registering voters with the Democracy Project.
